Excited about Hockey

Yes I am very excited about joining my very first hockey league here in Fargo. I also baught a new hockey stick. It is a composite...my very first one. I am switching from wood sticks with this one. My league starts a week from Wednesday. It is going to be soooo sweet!! Today is halloween and I dressed up in my apartment in the hockey gear above, complete with new stick and elbow pads. I am celebrating by watching the Sixth Sense!! Classic!!!

Snow in Fargo

So the title seems a little bit off. This is the extent of the snow that fell here in Fargo. It was still fun to scrape the ice that was on my windshield. It will only get worse fromn here. Also I included is a picture of downtown Fargo.

Nacho Cheese Chicken Tacos

I made these on Monday. They were amazing. The Tacos look great but the filling looked kind of gross. I recomend you try it. Amazing!!

First Week

Well I am done with my first week of Work. The days kind of fly by because there is a lot of work to be done. The red building at the top is my appartment in Fargo. That is me on my first day at work. And then there is my office. It is a really relaxed place. I was actually pretty overdressed for my first day. I had to replace my battery in the explorer because it went bad. It was a bad battery but still under warranty so I replaced it free!! I went to lunch at this great families house. They actually gave me a jump so I could get the car to the Auto Zone. They are nice. I miss Meg and Lucy, but I think it is only 5 more weeks until I see them again!!!

Pictures of the first day in Fargo

We went to a fargo force game. They are a member of the USHL. Fargo won the game with 3.9 seconds left. It was very exciting!! Then on Sunday I took Eric to St. Paul Minnesota to catch a plain back to Phoenix. Now I am alone in North Dakota. I did stop by the Mall of America though. I celebrated my Birthday with a Burrito from Qdoba and a Minnesota Wild Hockey Puck!! Except for the driving it was a good day. Thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday.

We made it to Fargo!!

Eric and I made it to fargo last night at about midnight. We spent the day creating waypoints on my GPS unit so that I can find my way around town. We are going to a USHL hockey game tonight!! Go Fargo Force. We are sitting in row F just to the side of center ice. Only $14!! The ticket lady lived in Chandler for a while. We also found the church building and the NAVTEQ building. I then navigated my way back to the house without the use of GPS!! Fargo is a pretty neat town. I could raise my family here. This is me saying that having only been here for about 14 hours and part of that was sleeping. My roomate seems pretty cool too. While we were out today we drove past the ARC of Cass County. Cool huh!! Well I better go get some essentials for living at the store. PS. The outdoor rinks are looking awesome. It is just wood boards right now because there is no snow or ice yet even though it feels like it to me. I will post pictures later.
